Cookie Policy

What Clipur stores in your browser, what is essential, what is optional, and how to change your choice.

1. Scope

This Cookie Policy explains how Clipur uses cookies and related storage or access technologies, including local storage, pixels, SDKs, and similar browser identifiers. It applies to clipur.ai and the Clipur dashboard and should be read with our Privacy Policy.

Some technologies are essential to provide a secure account or a feature you request. Optional product analytics are disabled unless you choose Allow analytics.

2. What these technologies do

Cookies are small text files placed on a browser. Local storage keeps information in the browser without using a traditional cookie. SDKs, pixels, and similar tools can read or write identifiers and activity information. The legal rules that apply to them can be similar even when the technology is not technically a cookie.

3. Essential storage

Essential storage cannot be disabled through Clipur's privacy control because the related features would not work reliably or securely. You can remove it in your browser, but doing so may sign you out, reset preferences, or interrupt a checkout or campaign flow.

  • Supabase authentication storage keeps access and refresh tokens in your browser so you can remain signed in, refresh a secure session, and authenticate dashboard requests. It remains until you sign out, clear browser data, or the session is otherwise ended under the authentication configuration.
  • The clipur_privacy_preferences local-storage record remembers whether you selected Essential only or Allow analytics. The choice is reviewed after 180 days, after which Clipur asks again.
  • Security, routing, checkout-return, and interface state may be stored temporarily where necessary to complete a request, prevent duplicate actions, restore an in-progress flow, or protect the service.

4. Optional analytics

If you choose Allow analytics, Clipur sends selected page-view and feature events to a same-origin Clipur endpoint, which may forward them server-side to PostHog to help us understand product usage and improve user journeys.

Clipur does not load the PostHog browser SDK, contact PostHog directly from your browser, set PostHog browser identifiers, autocapture interactions, or use session replay.

Clipur does not currently use advertising cookies or use analytics data for cross-context behavioral advertising.

5. Payment technologies

When you open a Stripe-hosted checkout or billing page, Stripe may use cookies and similar technologies for payment processing, authentication, Link, fraud and loss prevention, security, and service analytics. Depending on the Stripe product and configuration, these can include identifiers such as __stripe_mid, __stripe_sid, m, pay_sid, link.auth_session_client_secret, or elements_session.

Stripe controls its hosted pages and technologies under its own notices. Blocking payment-security technology may prevent checkout from working. Clipur does not use Stripe's fraud-prevention data for advertising.

6. Other providers and linked services

Authentication, AI, social-platform, content-delivery, and other providers may receive requests or set technology when you intentionally use their service, follow a link, load their hosted content, or open a provider-controlled page. Their privacy and cookie notices govern technology they independently control.

7. Managing your choices

Withdrawing analytics permission stops future optional capture. Clipur also removes known identifiers left by the retired PostHog browser SDK where the browser allows it. It does not invalidate processing that occurred while permission was active. Some aggregated or de-identified reports may remain.

  • Select Essential only to use Clipur without optional product analytics.
  • Select Allow analytics to enable optional analytics. You may change this later through Cookie settings in the site footer.
  • Use browser settings to inspect, block, or delete cookies and local storage. Browser-level changes may sign you out or make core features unavailable.
  • Provider controls, such as Stripe or browser privacy controls, may offer additional choices on provider-hosted pages.

8. Reviews, changes, and contact

We review our storage and tracking technologies when providers or features change. We will update this Policy and request a fresh choice where required when our use materially changes.
